Another pay day and still no paycheck for some detained workers of Howard Industries
Dear Friend and Supporter of Human Rights:
Now three weeks since ICE arrested 595 workers at Howard Industries in
Today, two paydays later, unpaid workers and family members of the incarcerated have taken signed power of attorney documents to Howard to request that their paychecks be released.
As the detainees and their families, many including underage children, assert their human dignity in a daily struggle for survival, you can show solidarity with them. Already, many generous individuals, agencies and collaborations have contributed more than $40,000 to this effort, allowing us to begin distributing grocery cards and financial assistance for rental and utilities assistance, medical needs, transportation, and such.
The need is astronomical and any financial assistance that could be granted is crucial at this time.
